Delete your Qerios account

You can delete your Qerios account at any time, from the app or from this website. This page explains how to do it, what happens to your data, and how to change your mind.

How to delete your account

In the Qerios app

  1. 1Open the Qerios app and sign in.
  2. 2Go to Settings.
  3. 3Open Danger zone.
  4. 4Tap Delete account and confirm.

On the website

  1. 1Sign in at qerios.com.
  2. 2Open Settings, then Danger Zone (qerios.com/settings/dangerZone).
  3. 3Choose Delete My Account and confirm.
  4. 4Or use the Delete my account form further down this page.

Can't sign in, or no access to the app?

Send us an email and we will handle the request for you.

Send it to [email protected] with the subject: “Account deletion request”

Please include:

  • Your Qerios username (the one that appears after the @).
  • The email address registered on the account.
  • A short line saying you want your account deleted.

We will verify that the account belongs to you before we act, and we may ask you to confirm from the email address on the account. We typically respond within 48 hours.

What happens when you delete

Immediately

  • You are signed out of every device.
  • Your profile and your content stop being visible to other people.
  • Nothing is permanently erased yet. Your account stays scheduled for deletion for 30 days.

After 30 days

Permanently deleted

  • Your account, profile and sign-in details, including linked sign-in methods.
  • Your sessions and push notification subscriptions.
  • The answers and replies you wrote, and your sketches.
  • Your likes, saved answers and follows.
  • The messages you sent, including random chat messages.
  • The questions you received and the notifications sent to you.
  • The reports you filed, and your profile and ask-link view statistics.

Kept, or kept without your identity

  • Questions you sent to other people stay for the people who received them, no longer linked to your account.
  • Replies other people wrote under your answers stay, as standalone posts.
  • Notifications other people received from you stay, no longer linked to your account.
  • We may keep limited information where needed to enforce our rules, prevent abuse and ban evasion, or meet legal obligations. See our Privacy Policy.

Changed your mind?

You can cancel the deletion at any time during the 30 days.

  1. 1Sign in again on qerios.com or in the app with your usual email and password or your linked sign-in method.
  2. 2You will see the Welcome back screen saying your account is deactivated.
  3. 3Tap Reactivate My Account. Your account is restored.

After the 30 days have passed, deletion cannot be undone.

Just need a break?

Deactivating is temporary. Your profile and content are hidden until you sign in again, and nothing is deleted. You can deactivate from Settings, Danger zone, Deactivate account.
